Madeleine Dubus is a writer and maker, floral and interior designer, and a dog mom.
She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her writing has appeared in Lit Hub, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, Queen Mob’s Teahouse, and Berfrois. In 2018, she was a semi-finalist for the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship. Where All the Funeral Homes Are, a collection of stories, is being shopped with publishers. Her current project is a lyric flash non-fiction memoir entitled, I AM HERE.
She has built her creative career as a Visual Manager and Visual Merchandising Manager for Anthropologie in the high profile Philly Metro district, executing visual merchandising prototypes, outfitting, seasonal rollouts, and display installations. In 2017, Madeleine started her own design company, M+AD design co, offering design consultations, interior design, and floral design and installations.
More than anything, Madeleine loves the process. From inspiration to design, to installation and execution, and all the hard work and laughs in between.
In every way, Madeleine devotes her life to telling stories and making things beautiful.
